Tahj The Tangerine Elephant is a story about a young orphan elephant who has beautiful tangerine skin. He thought he looked the same as the other elephants in the jungle until one day he heard whisperings about him. It made him very unhappy that he was not liked because his skin wasn't the same colour as than : Pearl Wright.

Although Tangerine interweaves important themes, it never bogs down in a stodgy seriousness, but always manages to be consistently entertaining. To try to describe the particular nature of Tangerine as Tahj The Tangerine Elephant book novel would not do it justice.

It shouldn't be pigeonholed. It's totally unto itself. Unique. But enough of my pontificating on the virtues. The book begins as the family moves to Tangerine, Florida.

One of the things that I particular Paul is the goalie for his soccer team despite the fact the he is practically blind. His parents hardly notice that he is a gifted soccer player becasue he is completely overshadowed by his older brother, Erik/5.

This wonderful picture book, written by Christine Baldacchino, will empower and inspire young readers in K-2nd grade to find the courage to stand up to bullies and at the same time learn the importance of loving oneself. Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress received the Stonewall Honor for Children’s and Young Adult Literature/5.

The War Eagles are wild and strong and full of pride. They win every game and Paul is proud and empowered by being a part of them. This growing self-confidence helps Paul learn to defend the kids of Tangerine Middle, as well as to stand up to Erik.

By the end of the book he takes the bold step of telling the truth about Erik to : Edward Bloor. Tangerine is an all-around awesome title for this book. It's actually got a triple meaning—that's three times the tangerine-y goodness!. It refers to the name of the county the Fishers move to in Florida—Tangerine County.

It's not a real place, but who cares—it sounds delicious. As a parent, I find Tangerine inspiring and uplifting because it presents issues relevant to our times: race relations, sibling rivalry, competitive sports, environmental concerns, and more.

But most importantly, it deals with human values—values essential to a boy's growth into a mature and insightful young man. Paul may be visually impaired. Nou's book is my first choice while I like other ($30 book on Amazon) "THE COMPLETE TAJ MAHAL" by Ebba Koch which is equally good for exterior photographs.

Koch's book has very limited coverage for interior but that covers more photos for gates and 2 adjoining structures of the complex/5(14). The Tangerine is a Belfast-based magazine of new writing.

Gerald the elephant learns a truth familiar to every preschooler—heck, every human: “Waiting is not easy!” When Piggie cartwheels up to Gerald announcing that she has a surprise for him, Gerald is less than pleased to learn that the “surprise is a surprise.”Gerald pumps Piggie for information (it’s big, it’s pretty, and they can share it), but Piggie holds fast on this basic.

Today the science group, Henry D., Theresa, Tino and Paul, get a ride from the school to Paul’s house in Henry D’s brother, Wayne’s truck, which has his mosquito spraying trailer attached.

Tangerine Summary. Paul Fisher's got a weird obsession with zombies. Or at least, he sure seems to. He and his family are moving from Houston to Tangerine County, Florida, and all he can think about is how his old house reminds him of an empty zombie tomb.
